Calibrating the Touch Screen Calibration is required if you are setting up the Touch Screen on your computer for the first time. Go to the Control Panel in Windows 2. Double-click the Elo Touch Screen icon. The Elo Touch Screen Properties window appears. Touch the targets as directed.

Description

The Elotouch driver is a KMDF driver that can work as both a multi-touch driver and a mouse driver. Its architecture is very similar to the WacomKMDF Driver.

The sample drivers share code that is located in the following directories:

• The srcinputhiddigicommon directory contains code that is common to the KMDF sample drivers.

• The srcinputhiddigiiutil directory contains utility functions that are common to all the HID input sample drivers.

Building the Sample

Elo Touch Driver Download For Windows 10 64-bit

Use the standard driver build tools in the Windows Driver Kit. In a driver directory, type build. The build script will generate the Elotouch.sys driver.

Installation

Driver Files

• EloMT.inf

• Elotouch.sys

• Hidkmdf.sys (build from the srchidhidusbfx2hidmapper directory)

• WDF co-installer dll from <WDK ROOT>redistwdf<platform>

To install the drivers, copy the driver files (the .sys and .dll files) and the INF files to the same location. In Device Manager, complete the following steps.

On Windows XP (The driver works as a mouse on Windows XP and Windows Vista):

1. Right-click the device, and click Update Driver.

2. Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and then click Next..

3. Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install, and then click Have Disk..

4. In the Install From Disk dialog box, type the path of the directory where you copied the driver and INF file, and then click OK..

5. Click Finish.

On Windows Vista and Windows 7

1. Right-click the device, and click Update Driver.

2. Click the Browse my computer for driver software link.

3. Click the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer link.

4. Click Have Disk.

5. Navigate to the location of the driver file, and click the INF file.

6. Click OK.

Selecting the Touch Driver

In most cases you can install from the TouchTools CD, but the most current drivers are always on the Elo web site.

Particularly if your operating system is Windows Vista, we recommend that you download the driver, as earlier versions of the CD will not install the correct Vista driver.

If your touch technology is Acoustic Pulse Recognition, you will need to use the APR driver CD or download the APR driver. APR technology is indicated by –A in the model number:

• ET1529L-A …
• The model number is on an Elo sticker on the back of the monitor, near the video connectors

The correct driver for all other touch technologies is determined by the operating system.

Installing from the TouchTools CD

NOTE: Not for APR touch technology; not for Windows Vista unless TouchTools CD is Rev U or later

1. Hook up the touchmonitor; see Connections.
2. Power up the system and insert the TouchTools CD.
3. Wait for the autorun menu to appear.
4. Select Install driver for this computer.
5. Follow the prompts (see Typical Downloaded File Installation Steps).

File Download Steps

1. Click the filename (e.g., SW600613).
2. Click the Save button.
3. Confirm Desktop as the save-to location at the top of the Save As window.
   1. Use the drop-down to change, if needed.
4. Click Save.
5. The green progress bar starts.
6. When download is complete, click the Close button.

1. Double-click the file on the desktop.
2. Click Run
   1. For Windows Vista, if 'Cannot create output file' is displayed, close the message box, then right-click the file and select Run as Administrator.
3. Click OK.
4. Click Unzip.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Next to select English as the default language.
7. Click either Install USB Touchscreen Drivers or Install Serial Touchscreen Drivers
   1. This is determined by the choice made when the cables were connected.
      1. See Connections.
8. Ignore Enable Precalibration.
9. Click Next.
10. Click Yes to indicate that you have read and accept the license agreement terms.
11. The files will install.
12. Click Finish.
